Alissa’s tableware is one-of-a-kind work. Most pieces are decorated
with similar texture designs and glaze colours – but you will find
unique characteristics in each and every piece.
Her
body of work
changes and evolves, so each time you see Alissa’s collection there
will be new pieces and creations.
The use of pottery for everyday meals, in preparing and serving
food, elevates these moments in our memory and our lives. For
instance, serving tea in a handcrafted teapot with handcrafted
teabowls or mugs can become something special.
For this reason,
Alissa is driven to create quality tableware with the intent to
bring delight and special meaning to her audience.
The tableware created by
Alissa is fully functional, and food safe. All pieces are
microwave, oven, and dishwasher friendly.
New in 2011 is Alissa's work making bird houses
and vases.
